The city of Kangasala awarded OAC Kiinteistöt Oy's new location, OAC Basecamp, with an honorable mention in the 2023 construction project competition.
According to the working group, OAC's industrial and warehouse building stands out from ordinary industrial construction with an exceptional investment in small-scale facade architecture and thoughtful material choices, which at the same time support the company's brand.
-In general, industrial halls are simple in appearance, but in this object, exceptionally fine attention has been paid to the street facade and entrance, the leading building inspector Johanna Pitkänen tells in Kangasalan Sanomat.
The CEO of OAC Finland Miika Vuorio accepted the honorary mention at an event organized by the city of Kangasala on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He states that he was pleased that Basecamp caught the attention of the authority board's working group in such a positive way.
- It's great to note that our contribution to constructing an industrial building that respects nature and the surrounding environment is also noted by others in Kangasala, says Vuorio.
-The construction of Basecamp started from the simple need to have proper production and office premises for our company and the community working in it, but at the same time it was important for us to make the property look like us. This is a place where we gladly invite our customers and partners to visit.
OAC Basecamp houses not only OAC Skinbased ski and other composite production, it is also the company's versatile showroom and office space.
Lamminrahka school was chosen by the working group of the city authority board as the construction project for 2023 of Kangasala.
